Day 1

Fulfill your desire to be immersed in nature with this day trip to Kilimanjaro National Park. Starting at Marangu Gate, trek through the equatorial rainforest up to Mandara Hut, nestled below Maundy Crater. Along the way, marvel at the mountain's incredible flora and fauna, with stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Look out for vibrant birdlife and playful monkeys, and don't forget to cheer on exhausted hikers descending from the summit.

You certainly can’t climb Kilimanjaro in a day, but our day tour to this iconic, snow-capped mountain will give you an excellent taster of why Africa’s highest peak is so popular. During the course of the day, we will follow the popular Marangu Route and walk as far as the first hut – the Mandara – where our picnic lunch will be taken. As other trekkers continue upwards, bound for the summit, we will make the descent again and return to Arusha.

Before sunset, you will be taken back to Arusha city and drop of at your hotel or stay at Arusha.
